Describe a sound. Hear it. Shape it.
Your sound is unprocessed. Build a chain by stacking effects in any order — Tone.js shaping and SoundTouch pitch/time can interleave freely.
Every other variant gives you an instrument to play. This one gets out of your way. A single prompt is the whole interface; the pipeline is driven by keyboard, so an experienced user never has to reach for the mouse. It is the pragmatic, efficient pole of the design space — calm, monochrome, and quick.
⌘K opens a fuzzy search over the entire effect catalogue — Tone.js and SoundTouch together. Type a few letters, hit ↵, it’s in the chain. No browsing, no menus to hunt. The same muscle memory as Linear, Raycast, or VS Code.
Effects are rows, not hardware. Each shows a name and a plain-language summary; click to expand its parameters inline as minimal sliders. Reorder with a subtle grip. SoundTouch rows carry a small “ST” tag but interleave anywhere — order is yours.
⌘K add · Space play · ⌘↩ export. The whole loop — generate, shape, audition, ship — can happen without leaving the home row. Restraint is the feature: one accent colour, hairline borders, and lots of air keep the focus on the sound.
Power users, repeat visitors, and anyone who values speed over spectacle. The trade-off is discoverability — it rewards people who already know what they want. The Guided and Eurorack variants sit at the opposite end for newcomers and tinkerers.
